The Larry Bass timber sale area will be sprayed again for weed control, starting Monday, August 11.

Tod McKay of the Bitterroot National Forest said the treatments will be on Larry Creek road, Larry Creek loop, Larry Creek Trail #129 and all timber sale temporary roads, skid trails and log landings.

He said the spraying will be done by a certified commercial contractor and the herbicide Aminopyralid will be used to try to control such weeds as sulfur cinquefoil, oxeye daisy and spotted knapweed.

Work is expected to be completed within the week.

Treated areas will be posted with a sign. For more information, contact the Stevensville Ranger Station at (406) 777-5461.
