Is there a place in the Bitterroot that you think could use a little TLC?

The Ravalli County Resource Advisory Committee is accepting project proposals from the public until March 30th for this year's funding. The committee is made up of local folks who will administer about $235,000 in project funds this year. The projects need to benefit National Forest Service lands, which usually means the Bitterroot National Forest. Restoring streams and watersheds is a main goal, but funds have been used to improve trails, infrastructure, soil health control of noxious weeds and re-establishment of native species. Applications are available at the Bitterroot National Forest offices and online at www.fs.usda.gov/bitterroot
