The numerous mail-in district elections in Ravalli County were tallied May 2 by the Ravalli County Election Office. These are the final unofficial results.

The $196,000 Victor School District 7 Operating Levy went down to defeat:

  • For the Levy - 396
  • Against the Levy - 701
  • Jeni Siefert and Jim Shea were elected to the Hamilton School board:

  • Jeni Siefert - 1,563
  • Jim Shea - 891
  • Elke Olbricht - 768
  • Jesse Casterson - 757
  • Tim Greek - 516
  • Becky Anderson, Ginny Hoffman and Dan Wolsky won seats on the Corvallis School Board:

  • Becky Anderson - 1,116
  • Dan Wolsky 1,054
  • Ginny Hoffman - 1,001
  • Michael Hoyt - 883
  • Florence-Carlton School Board winners were Kourtney Zeiler and Tara Zeiler:

  • Tara Zeiler - 785
  • Kourtney Zeiler - 642
  • Rebecca Ames and Robert DeWitt were named Florence Rural Fire District trustees:

  • Robert DeWitt-606
  • Rebecca Ames-532
  • Elected as 3-Mile Rural Fire District trustees were Faron Stevens and Travis Capp:

  • Faron Stevens - 415
  • Travis Capp - 319
  • Gordon Blietz Sr. - 261
  • There was a large number of write-ins in the Florence-Carlton School District, but the total was about 479.

    The final results will be canvassed in the coming weeks.

    Now, attention turns to the special U.S. Congressional election May 25.

    The Hamilton district voters will also be voting May 25 on two money issues for the Hamilton School District. The Hamilton School Board is having an informational meeting on that tonight, May 3, at the Daly School on Daly Avenue. It starts at 6:30 p.m. Architectural drawings of the building plans will be shown.
