Nickel Brothers Moving has another megaload on its way along US Highway 12. The company is contracted to move 23 pieces of equipment to the destination in Grande Prairie, Canada. The largest load is now on its way over Lolo Pass and on through Missoula on Reserve Street, then through Montana during the first week of October.
The load is an evaporator that weighs over 500,000 pounds and is 24 feet wide and 182 feet long.
The convoy can only travel at night. In Idaho, the allowed times are 10pm to 5:30am and in Montana, it’s from 11pm to 6am.
The company has delivered 15 of the 23 loads, with eight remaining at the port in Wilma, Idaho, near Lewiston.
