The Veterans Day weekend starts with a free patriotic concert by Linda Lanier Thursday evening, November 9, at the Assembly of God Church on the 600 block of West Main in Hamilton. All veterans and active service members are invited to the 7 p.m. concert..

Friday, November 10, Hamilton's main commemoration will be at the Ravalli County Museum, with the laying of wreaths at the WW1 Doughboy statue at 2 p.m. The wreaths will be from various veterans organizations and auxiliaries. The memorial program will continue upstairs in the Museum's main display area. That is the first day of a silent auction of decorated trees from local businesses and groups - traditional and patriotic. For more information, call the museum at (406) 363-3338.

Saturday Corvallis American Legion Post 91 will send an honor guard along the Corvallis Main Street for their Veterans Day Parade. that will start at 11 a.m. on the north end of the street. Also that day, Post 91 is holding their first annual Veterans Day Blizzard Ride for motorcyclists, starting at NAPA Auto Parts in Hamilton at 9:30 a.m. The ride raises money for riders programs and K9 Care Montana. A chili and cornbread fundraiser will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Fins Tap House in Corvallis, to raise money for legionnaire Kevin Campbell, who is battling cancer.
