Memorial In the Daly Mansion at Christmastime

But wait, there’s one more event planned in the home this year.
At this time, we offer our condolences to the Bessenyey family.
Francis B. Bessenyey died December 18th in Hamilton. He was born May 5, 1925 in Budapest, Hungary, and moved to the Bitterroot Valley when he inherited the Daly Mansion (and Bitter Root Stock Farm) from his stepmother, Countess Margit Sigray, who was the granddaughter of Marcus Daly.
He was a strong supporter of the Daly Mansion Preservation Trust and attended many of the Preservation Trust events. He also supported the Bitter Root Land Trust and the Ravalli County Museum.
Services will be held at St Francis Church Wednesday, December 26, at 11 a.m. with interment following. A reception will follow at the Daly Mansion at 1:30 p.m.
We will remember his welcoming smile. The valley is a better place because of him.
