The US Fish and Wildlife Service has been devising plans for the future of the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge.

The draft 15-year Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment will be the subject of a public comment meeting April 9th.

The Fish and Wildlife Service will make a short presentation and then discuss the planning team's proposed actions. The public will then have a chance to make comments. Those comments will be considered as they make up the final plan.

The meeting will be at the refuge headquarters between 6:30 and 8:30pm on April 9th. For more information, call the office at (406) 777-5552. The full documents and summaries are online at the Fish and Wildlife Service site.
