The proposed Montana hunting seasons and regulations will be discussed at public meetings in January.

The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks will be taking comments on the new regulations until January 24, 2014. The details are at the FWP website under the tab '2014-2015 Hunting Proposals.'

The meetings in the west-central area will include a couple of meetings in the Bitterroot Valley.

Tuesday, January 7, the 6:30 p.m. meeting will be at Hamilton's Bitterroot River Inn. Later in the month, the Darby Elementary School will be the site of another 6:30 p.m. meeting January 20. The next night, January 21, the department will have a meeting in Missoula at the Double Tree Hotal on Madison Street.

Other meetings are planned throughout the month at Helmville, Superior, Drummond, Philipsburg, Seeley Lake, Anaconda, Lincoln, Deer Lodge and Potomac.
