Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will offer a short course in Hamilton to the general public who want to learn more about furbearer management, trapping seasons and how to release traps.

In a news release from the department, officials said the class will have a short session on trapping and furbearer management and then participants will be able to handle traps and learn how to open them.

The course will also provide tips on how to avoid places where traps might be set.

The session will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton, Tuesday, February 12. For more information, call the Missoula office of FWP at (406) 542-5500.
