Montana Spring Turkey Trot Licenses

Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks reminds hunters that in some counties the deadline to apply for a permit is next Thursday March 8.
The FWP Commission also expanded some general turkey hunting areas in western Montana. Some Bitterroot residents are noticing that that there are quite a few of the birds in certain areas of the valley. It’s the same in other areas of Montana.
Applicants must have a 2012 conservation license to apply and will find the spring turkey permit areas in FWP Regions 2, 3 and 4 listed on the application. It costs $5 to apply.
The resident and nonresident turkey permit applications are online at the FWP website. Go to the Hunting page, click Licenses and Permits, then click Applications.
