The Big Sky Mudflaps, the Bitterroot's most famous band, brought out the biggest crowd so far this year at the weekly free Tuesday at 12 concert in Hamilton.

The band entertained during a perfect summer noon hour at Legion Park, which sported new shade structures along the new park sidewalk. And plenty of people were taking advantage of the shade.

So you say you missed 'em? Not to worry. They will part of a full day of music August 11st at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton.

The "Sounds of Summer" is the brainchild of a number of valley folks who wanted to feature not one, but eight local bands at one place. And they've picked some of the best.

It's being billed as Hamilton's largest concert of the year and includes:

  • The Big Sky Mudflaps
  • The Mike Bader Bear Jam,
  • Bottom Feeders
  • Kristi Neumann
  • Kirt Miller and Sax Cadillac
  • 907 Britt
  • Three Eared Dog
  • Joey and the Frets

The music starts at noon Saturday August 11th and rolls along until about 8pm. Advance tickets are on sale at the Music Box and Chapter One Book Store in Hamilton and at Rockin' Rudys in Missoula.
