February 3 is First Firday in Stevensville and the North Valley Public Library has contracted to bring possums into the building. Not the animals but the bluegrass group "The Awesome Possums," who will start playing about 6 p.m.

The library often presents music during each month's First Friday late openings of the Stevensville Main Street Association. The Awesome Possums play bluegrass and more, according to Scharyn Way in a library news release. She wrote, "You may hear bluegrass, swing, Dylan, whatever seems to fit the moment."

The group contains members of the Pinegrass bluegrass band.

The community room of the library on Stevi's Main Street is being renovated, so the music will be in the Main Room and the library will not have regular operations during the concert.

And, it's free!
