New Bill Helps Hamilton Veteran Service Center

Montana Senator Jon Tester said that the bill includes a waiver to ensure veterans using telehealth facilities are not required to make copayments. The Hamilton Veterans Service Center is one of only two veterans telehealth centers in Montana.
The new law also authorizes the VA to provide housing assistance to veterans affected by fires and other natural disasters.
Tester said, “This bill helps the VA tackle the unique challengers of living in a rural area…”
The Hamilton Veterans Service Center is on Fairgrounds Road at the corner of Kurtz Lane, across the street from the Hamilton High School. KLYQ carries a weekly Veteran’s Program tuesday mornings during the Bitterroot Morning newscast at 7:30am, with questions answered by the staff at the center.
