A digital historic photo presentation will be featured Thursday evening, July 17, at the Ravalli County Museum.

The Montana homestead experience and the pioneers who made it possible will be shown at 6 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the museum at South 3rd and Bedford in Hamilton.

The 1909 Enlarged Homestead Act brought people to Montana and Dean Hellinger will explain how it changed our landscape.

His presentation is sponsored by Humanities Montana.

The show is part of the free and late Thursdays at the museum, where no admission is charged. That’s sponsored in part by the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation and the Montana Cultural Trust.
