A man and a woman are being held for questioning in what Hamilton police are calling a ‘suspicious death’ Tuesday night.

Hamilton Police Chief Ryan Oster said officers were called to a home at 408 South Fourth Street in Hamilton late Tuesday night and found a male victim in the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oster said there were two others in the home - a man and a woman in their 20s - and he said they were acquaintances of the victim. They are being held but no charges have been filed. Officers obtained a search warrant and gathered evidence Wednesday. The body is at the state crime lab in Missoula for an autopsy.

Chief Oster said no other details would be released until further investigation is completed, along with the autopsy.
