Pelicans in the Bitterroot Valley? – Yes!
The sight of a pelican in the Bitterroot Valley is becoming a regular springtime feature at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge.
The large birds like the meals they can find in our water.
On our YouTube channel, Bob Danley of the refuge talks about the pelicans and when you can see them soaring above. Of course, we include some of Mike Daniels’ photos from one of the ponds at the Metcalf.
Our audio report is also heard on KLYQ Thursdays during our 7:30 a.m. Bitterroot Morning newscast. It’s at 1240 AM in Hamilton and online right here at klyq.com. Listen to us anytime by clicking on “Listen Live.”
