This weekend, the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State University Bobcats will be in battles to advance through the NCAA football playoffs. Carroll College of Helena will have to wait until next weekend for their next playoff test.
For the Griz, gametime is 6pm Friday night at Missoula's Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The lights are up and the crowd is expected to be rockin' and rollin' as the Northern Iowa team (ranked 2nd) faces the surging Grizzlies, who feat Central Arkansas handily last week 41-14. The game will be on ESPN - yeah, the main channel, not some internet pay-per-view thing.
A bit of a road trip for the MSU bobcats, who will play top ranked (and unbeaten) Sam Houston State at 10am Saturday morning in Texas. Again, ESPN has decided it might be a good game to telecast on their main channel.
The Carroll College Saints are into their 7th National Championship game next week (Dec 17) in Rome, GA, against St Xavier of Illinois. The Saints are defending champs and took care of Georgetown of Kentucky 35-3 last week.
The Friday night Griz game will be on KGVO 1290 AM in Missoula, however, the game will not be on the Blaze this week.
