The Polson Pirates sneaked by Hamilton in a loser-out game at the State Class A basketball tournament in Missoula with a free-throw shot to win 51-50.

The Broncs started off strong, but Polson came back in the middle of the game and both teams were tied in the final seconds 50-50. A foul sent Polson to free-throw line, where one basket ended the tournament for the Hamilton Broncs.

Hamilton was in its first boys state tournament in over 20 years. The Polson Pirates continue in tourney play Saturday morning at 11 a.m. At the University of Montana in Missoula.
