Hundreds of people were on the tarmac of the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton Saturday for the Wings & Wheels Heritage Day celebration.

The pancake breakfast started out the day, and there were games for the kids, including a ping pong ball drop from an airplane. Two rare TravelAire planes were on display, along with other vintage aircraft. In the field just west of the airport, classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles were being shown, all part of the sun-filled day. Rock and roll music from 50s and 60s accompanied the fun.

The crowd also got a front row seat to see single engine air tankers take off and land as they fought the nearby Observation forest fire.
