Ravalli County Already Has Good Turnout in Election
The opportunity to vote early in Montana has been widely accepted – and Ravalli County is no exception.
County Clerk and Recorder Regina Plettenberg says she expect fully one=third of the registered voters to have already voted by Tuesday morning, when the polls open at 7 a.m. That’s over 9,000 votes already cast.
She will have a sequestered team of election workers counting the ballots through the day, with results from the absentee ballots released soon after the polls the close at 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, all the election judges have been setting up the polling places throughout the valley, ready for a large turnout. Only one polling place will have shortened hours – that’s Sula at the far south end of the valley. As in past years, that polling place at the Sula Clubhouse will be open from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
KLYQ will have results as they become available from the local races – both on the air at the top of each hour this evening and right here on-line.
KLYQ and KGVO have plans to cover state and national races – throughout the evening and into the morning. Stay tuned!
