Ravalli County Commissioner Kanenwisher to Resign

Kanenwisher began making his intentions known this week at the County Administration Center and said he would wait at least a month or two before actually handing in a written resignation.
His reason – a career in nursing that he had hoped to continue part-time during his tenure in local government to keep his license active. However, he has not been able to devote enough time to keep that occupation going.
He explains more in an interview with Jon King of KGVO/KLYQ News. Here are some portions of that interview.

After receiving the written resignation in May or June, the Commissioners will select Kanenwisher’s replacement from three names provided by the Republican Central Committee, since Matt is a Republican. That person will serve until the general election in November.
