Most of the 7,100 absentee ballots cast in Ravalli County have been counted in early returns in the Primary Election June 7. We have unofficial numbers from the County Election Office.

On the Republican ballot, a race that will be decided in the primary is County Commission District 3, since there is no Democratic challenger in the November general election. In that race, the early leader is Sheriff Chris Hoffman with 3,321 to incumbent J.R. Iman with 1,432.
