Sunday is the big day for most Open Class exhibitors of the Ravalli County Fair.

From 12 noon to 7 p.m., the department superintendents will be accepting all Open Class entries at the First Interstate Event Center. You'll get a tag and it will be placed on the entry and judged in time for display at the Ravalli County Fair, which opens Wednesday, August 29.

If you have flowers or horticultural items, do NOT bring them Sunday. Don't cut the flowers until Tuesday, when the Open Floral and Open Horticultural entries will be accepted. Again, the Event Center is the place and again, the time will be 12 noon to 7 p.m. And be 8 p.m. Tuesday, the livestock must be in the barns.

Of course, the Ravalli County Fair Parade will be Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. KLYQ's Steve Fullerton will be announcing the affair on the 200 block of Main. The parade itself will be lined up north of main in the areas of 6th through 9th Streets. You can still be in that parade. Contact the Chamber of Commerce Office in Hamilton and get your parade number. No charge.

Ah, yes! Fair food is only days away!
