Fossils are just part of the Natural History exhibit at the Ravalli County Museum. Forest fires will be discussed this week.

Steve Arno and Bob Mutch will lead a panel discussion on ‘Fire in the Forest’ at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 2.

The presentation is one of four this month at the museum during their ‘late opening
Thursdays,’ which are partially funded by the Phyllis and Dennis Washington Foundation. Other topics this month will be forest-related.

“Natural History: How Well Do You Know YOUR World?” fills the second floor old district court room of the museum. There are displays on geology, water resources, forests and fields, wildlife, people and more. The display will be active through April. It’s sponsored by Alfred Weisbecker, Patrick Clark Photography and the Frame Shop and Gallery.
