Ravalli County Museum Continues Musical Hosting
This year, the Ravalli County Museum’s lawn has been a little more crowded on Tuesdays because of work on the American Legion Park in Hamilton. The museum has hosted the Tuesday at 12 free noontime concert series during its summer run and that included the Bitterroot Community Band (see photo) last Tuesday.
The final Tuesday at 12 performance for the season will be next week, featuring Missoula musician Ellie Nuno, and again, it will be on the museum lawn.
The Friday and Saturday thunderstorms damaged the main museum tent, but work is being done so that it can be used again this year as Apple Day is fast approaching.
The lawn also has been the site of all the music every Saturday during the popular Hamilton Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to noon.
Museum Director Tamar Stanley enjoys the presentations, saying that it also introduces people to the museum, bringing in new visitors every week.
Meanwhile, the Bitterroot Community Band will be back at their bandshell at Claudia Driscoll Park next Thursday, August 22, for a free evening concert at 8 p.m. Then, they’ll be at the Ravalli County Fair on the KLYQ Free Stage Saturday, August 31 at 2 p.m.
