This popular Ravalli County Museum "Ghost tours" will be each weekend, leading up to a tour on Halloween itself.

If you talk to the right person, they will tell of odd things that seem to occur in the old Ravalli County Courthouse after the the sun goes down. Nothing threatening (that's a "doctored" photo we included), but just unexplained. Paranormal investigations have been done in the building before, with varying results.

And, now you have a chance to be on one of these investigations.

The first Ghost Tour will be October 12 from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tours will also be at the same time on October 19, October 26 and Halloween night, October 31. The cost is $20 for members of the Bitter Root Valley Historical Society and $25 for non-members.

Included will be a walk in the basement area, time in the judge's chambers, and quiet(?) time in the courtroom. There will also be numerology or ancient rune readings for $5 at the "home base" for investigators.

It can be frightening, so no one under the age of 14 will be allowed, and those under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be required to sign a liability waiver.

And of course, the views expressed during the Ghost Tours are not necessarily the views of the Historical Society, the Board of Directors, the Ravalli County Museum, its employees, sponsors or volunteers.
