What kind of rocks are in Blodgett Canyon? That and other geologic questions will be answered at the next natural history lecture at the Ravalli County Museum.

U.S. Forest Service Geologist Judy Reese's topic is "Geology of the Bitter Root Mountains" at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6. Reese has been busy in the Lolo, Flathead and Bitterroot National Forests and is a Certified Mineral Examiner.

She was with the Bureau of Land Management in eastern Oregon from 2000 to 2006 and has also worked on Superfund sites with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.

Her presentation is part of the Natural History exhibit on the second floor of the Ravalli County Museum, which has been exploring different aspects of the world around us. The exhibit has been popular with everything from animal pelts to dinosaur bones.

The lecture series is part of the Thursday late openings at the museum, with free admission. For more information call 363-3338.
