This is the month that the historic Grantsdale School bell comes to the Ravalli County Museum.

Ground-breaking was done earlier this week.

The bell and its timber frame tower will be permanently placed in the lawn of the museum at the corner of Bedford and South 3rd in Hamilton. The concrete foundation was being poured this week. (see photo)

Commemorative bricks are being sold to help pay for the move, along with construction costs. Board member Wayne Hedman said the museum is making sure the foundation will be long-lasting and funds are still needed.
