Thursday, May 8, University of Montana Professor Hipolito Rafael Chacon presented pre-construction sketches of renowned architect A.J.Gibson to the Ravalli County Museum, which is housed in the Gibson-designed former Ravalli County Courthouse.

Executive Director Tamar Stanley accepted the three framed reproductions, which included details of the cupola and a floor plan.

The original drawings are stored at the UM Mansfield Library and were made available by curator Brandon Reintjes. The sketches were donated as part of a presentation by Professor Chacon on the art of Glacier National Park.

One of the interesting details is that Gibson had envisioned a clock in the building's tower. It was not included in the construction. The presentation was made what was the original district courtroom of the building.
