Thursday morning, June 9, a group of Ravalli County Museum staff and volunteers held a little party, celebrating the passage of a 1-mill county levy to help fund operations at the facility.

Director Tamar Stanley and others thanked the volunteers for their work in getting support for the levy, which will provide about a third of the museum's operating budget. The rest of the budget is dependent on grants, donations and museum events, such as this weekend's Bitterroot Day and this fall's MacIntosh Apple Day.

The museum board and Stanley thanked the community for passing the levy request in Tuesday's Primary Election.
