Ravalli Museum Opens Harry Potter’s World Exhibit Thursday
The whole family is going to enjoy the Opening Reception at the Ravalli County Museum starting at 6 p.m. Thursday evening, December 20.
The exhibit is called "Harry Potter's World: Renaissance Science, Magic and Medicine."
It includes features of the Harry Potter world - including a Sorting Hat when you come in the front door, chocolate frogs for sale in the gift shop, the headmaster's office with secrets and clues, and displays of real science of the time - from magnetism to DaVinci.
The Hamilton High School Choir will sing Renaissance music. And, entertainment from Professor Garon "Gee Wiz" Smith of the UM Science Department with an interactive science show.
The evening is designed for Witches, Wizard and Muggles and you are invited to dress in Renaissance costume or come as your favorite Harry Potter character.
Admission will be $3 for adults, $1 for children or a family rate of $6. Rune/numerology and Tarot readings will be available for $10.
The exhibition was developed and produced by the Ravalli County Museum and the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health.
