Thursday, Congressman Denny Rehberg officially filed his candidacy for U.S. Senate at the state Capitol in Helena.

In a press conference, Republican Rehberg repeated points against Sen. Jon Tester that he made in an interview on KLYQ and KGVO Thursday morning. “Senator Tester and President Obama’s agenda is a one-size-fits-all solution of government spending. Our solution is to get government out of our way and create opportunity for our small businesses to flourish and create jobs.”

Rehberg said he was proud of his record as the state’s at-large Representative to the U.S. House, and said he represented Montana’s values and best interests which he feels will earn him the support of a majority of voters this November.

“Ultimately I believe I will be successful in becoming the next United States Senator from Montana because of the things I believe in. And that is faith, and family, and freedom,” Rehberg concluded.
