With the Northern Region Incident Command team leaving town, the unified team of local and regional firefighters put together a great video, thanking the community for its support.

The video is on the Bitterroot National Forest's "Discover the Bitterroot" Facebook page. Here's the video link.

The fire, by the way, is now under the management of a Type 3 team, with commander Drew Daily. The fire will probably continue to burn in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness through the end of fire season.

All evacuations have been lifted, the Bitterroot River is open again (no hoot owl restrictions either) and the fire will still cause some smoke in the hot weeks ahead in August.

A reminder that Stage 1 fire restrictions are in effect for Ravalli County and the Bitterroot National Forest. The general rule - no campfires.
