Two adult men connected to the Ole’s shooting have now been charged in the incident.
Detective Jason Johnson with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department says the two men are 23 year-old Christopher Lee Burch, who is charged with attempted deliberate homicide, and 24 year-old Preston James Hanna, who has been charged with accountability to deliberate homicide. Burch was the shooter and Hanna was was driver of the vehicle. The Sheriff’s department would like to thank the community for the several tips we received through our Crime Stoppers tip line which aided the investigation early on.
The victim’s family has notified authorities that he has been in and out of surgery this morning and has been upgraded from critical to critical but stable. Authorities again want to offer their thoughts and prayers to the victim and his family and hope that he makes a speedy recovery.
Johnson reminds anyone working in the retail industry to give up the money in a robbery, especially where the suspect is armed.
