The Bitterroot Valley semi-pro team went to Caldwell, Idaho, and have come back with the Rocky Mountain Football League AA Championship.

The Blaze were up against the Caldwell Idaho Matadors in a Saturday evening title game.

The team, quarterbacked by Shane Jurasek, did not score first. The Matadors led 6-0 in the first quarter, but then trailed for the rest of the game. The Blaze led 20-6 at the half, and added points in the final two quarters to win 33-18, though the Matadors attempted a rally in the final minutes.

It's the second Championship for the Ravalli County team. They won in 2007. This season's record is 10 and 1.
