The crowd enjoyed another night of NRA rodeo at the Ravalli County Fair Saturday. The cowboys had lots of trouble in team roping, but the saddle bronc and bull riding brought the crowd alive.
Sunday, another day of carnival at the fairgrounds and people will be grabbing their exhibits and ribbons. A reminder for next year...the Ravalli County Fair is an "exhibitors" fair, with so many categories that almost anyone can enter. The First Interstate Event Center was filled with photos, flowers, ceramics, cakes and cookies, spinning demonstrations and wonderful fabrics. The Art building was bursting with imagination and the 4-H and FFA entries were plentiful. So, enter something next year and show it off.
The livestock auction brought in some pretty good prices. The KLYQ Free Stage packed 'em in for the Country Step Cloggers, the Bitterroot Community Band and the new event - the Poetry contest. Hypnotist Michael Mezmer played to standing-room-only crowds on Saturday. KLYQ thanks Rob Myers for his great work on sound at the Free Stage. He's available for all sorts of audio and video production and presentations. He also works with Blue Melon, a great valley band. Check out their website.
