April 29 will see law officers running alongside the road, carrying a torch.
It's the annual Special Olympics Torch Run, and Ravalli County is the featured route that day.
Officers from the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office, the Hamilton Police Department, Darby and Stevensville Police Departments, and the Montana Highway Patrol will be carrying The Flame of Hope on its way to Bozeman for the opening ceremonies of the State Summer Games of the Montana Special Olympics.
The runners and walkers and riders will start in Darby and finish at the city limits of Missoula - rain or shine.
They are raising money through donations and selling t-shirts. You can help by dropping some cash off at the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office in the north wing of the County Courthouse at South 2nd and Bedford, or you can go on-line to www.somt.org.
