Friday evening, May 16, the annual fundraiser for SAFE - the Crystal Ball - will even include Steve and Mary from KLYQ's "Bitterroot Morning" radio show.

Steve Fullerton and Mary Borden will guide the guests through the evening of food, adult beverages, silent and live auctions and music by the Chuck Florence Trio.

SAFE (Supporters of Abuse Free Environments) is a successful program in the valley because of generous donations of time and money from the community. The battered women's shelter has been held up as a fine example for the rest of the state.

The Crystal Ball started as a small event south of Hamilton in the Grange Hall and quickly moved to the Bitterroot River Inn, where its been for several years.

The full evening, including Patrons' Reception, is $75 per person. The Patrons hour from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. includes a martini bar and selected silent auction items.

The general admission. starting at 6:30 p.m., is $50. Reservations are suggested at SAFE, 150 Morning Star Way in Hamilton or by calling 363-2793. Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Catering is by "Fresh .. Local ... Tasty" and the food will be set up at the beginning of the evening.

The Chuck Florence Trio will be playing music "for your dining enjoyment."

The silent auction items will be along the walls of the Bitterroot River Inn ballroom, and the live auction, starting after everyone is done eating, will include a few surprises!

It's a wonderful way to support an organization that gives so much back to the valley.
