You are invited to take a Christmas Stroll in downtown Hamilton Friday and throughout the Christmas season.

The Hamilton Downtown Association will kick off the season with the Montana A Cappella Society carolling on the sidewalks, starting about 4:30 p.m. November 23. Then, the crowd will gather at the community Christmas tree between the US Post Office and Bell McCall Company on the 300 block of Main.

There, with a few songs thrown in and a countdown from the crowd, the tree will be lit for the season at 6 p.m.

Santa will make an appearance at the tree and then stroll down to the front of Chapter One Book Store, where he'll be available for those wish lists.

The town is decorated on the light poles and in the store windows. There will be old-fashioned burning barrels on the corners, so you can warm your hands. And there will be that special small town feeling that always shines during this time of year.
