Saturday Bike Parade in Hamilton Celebrates Emma’s House
Saturday, April 27, the annual Emma’s House Bike Parade will start at 10 a.m. in Hamilton at the advocacy center address, 800 North 2nd Street.
The parade for kids, adults and families will wind through Hamilton and then follow the Highway 93 bike path out to Hieronymus Park on the north end of town.
At 12 noon at the Bitterroot River Inn Conference Center, right next to Hieronymus Park, the family-fun band, The Whizpops!, will entertain. The Whizpops were a main feature of the Governor’s Inaugural “Children’s Ball” – the first ever for Montana.
No fee to be in the parade, and no admission fee for the Whizpops! concert.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Emma’s House has been serving childrern and families with a setting for forensic interviews and free medical exams as part of child abuse and neglect investigations. The center also offers free counseling to children and the non-offending family members in such cases. Annually, Emma’s House helps over 100 kids.
The center is a 501(c) 3 non-profit tax deductible organization, accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
