Operation Christmas Child is in "top speed" mode. The charity sends shoeboxes filled with everything from bathroom supplies to stuffed animals to kids around the world. The project is overwhelming in its scope, and the Bitterroot Valley has been part of it. Cornerstone Bible Church will be accepting shoeboxes from November 14 through the end of the week. They're located at 280 Fairgrounds Road in Hamilton. Ideas on what to put in a shoebox are listed in pamphlets available at the Bitterroot Christian Bookstore on Main Street in Hamilton.
Greg Reinhardt visited KLYQ's popular "Event Show" Friday morning, Nov 11, and brought along a typical shoebox. The valley donated over 1,800 boxes last year and more are expected this year. Greg is a volunteer who will be helping at the national collection areas, too. The boxes are prepared for shipping there and sent out before the end of the month.
