Again this year, the Pilots Association at the Ravalli County Airport will have a high-flying start to their annual public Easter Egg Hunt.

Weather permitting, at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, the Easter Bunny will jump out of an aircraft and skydive down to a cleared area on the western edge of the Hamilton airport property. After he hops to a stop, the kids can rush out and pick up eggs.

There will be three separate areas for different ages of kids. Volunteers will help make sure eggs are found. The plastic eggs will have candy or prize certificates inside.

The age categories are 4 years old and under, 5 to 9 years, and 10-12 years.

The egg hunt at the airport east of Hamilton complements the traditional Eagles event on Easter Sunday. That free public event at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds also has three areas for the younger participants. It starts at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 16.

Last year, this was the landing.
