Snowfall in the Mountains Continues in June

Lost trail pass
Lost Trail Pass, the morning of June 17. (Idaho Dept of Transportation)
Fresh snow on the trees surrounding US 93 at the top of Lost Trail Pass was the scene the morning of June 17.
The large, slow-moving cold front continues to drop rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains across a wide area of Montana and Idaho.

The weather forecasters predict rain until at least mid-day Wednesday. Glacier Park was hit with wet, slushy snow in the higher elevations. Be ready for winter driving conditions in the high country.

However, when the system leaves, the weather will immediately return to normal June temperatures, with highs into the 70s and 80s by the weekend.
