The unique Bitterroot Valley crew known as the "Mammo Men" were introduced to the public Friday, October 4, as Hamilton's First Friday highlighted the beginning of a month of fundraising for the Aid to Mammography Fund at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.

The October campaign has grown over the years, with the name "Sprinkle Pink" referring to the numerous local businesses and schools involved, along with these 13 guys who dress up in pink (see photo) and raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

Each Mammo Man is sponsored by a business this year and they joined together for fundraising during First Friday. They have until October 18 to raise the money, with the winner announced at the Grand Finale at Stevensville's Blacksmith Brewery.

But there's more!

Friday through Sunday, October 4-6, funds will be raised during the Psychic Fair at Between the Worlds in Hamilton.

Sunday, the Powderpuff Womens Flag Football event in Darby will raise money from concession sales for Sprinkle Pink.

Friday, October 11, the Deliciously Pink Dinner will be at the Bitterroot Brewery from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 19, the Canyons Athletic Club will be filled with Sprinkle Pink activities and will be the home base for the "Mountain to Molehill" 5K and 1 mile family fun run and BBQ.

Tuesday, October 22, the Mission Bistro will host the Organically Pink three-course meal from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cost is $35 per person.

Thursday, October 24, Sprinkle Gumption Variety Show will be at Hamilton's Roxy Theater. Pre-party at 5:15, and show at 6 p.m. with $25 admission.

Monday, October 28, "Italian Rosa" three-course dinner will be at Florence's Caffe Firenze for $20 each.

The money raised during the month will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.
