All the news about J.J. Abrams has been about his little upcoming project called Star Wars 7.

Well, he was chosen in part because of his work on the "re-boot" of the Star Trek movies, and his second effort in that series comes to theaters in May.

Here's the latest trailer, which was released in December. Somehow, I missed it until this week.

And, yes, the bad guy in this film is Benedict Cumberbatch, the same actor who has gained critical acclaim as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC TV series.

And, bonus trivia - the actor who plays Dr Watson in that BBC series is Martin Freeman, who is Bilbo in The Hobbit.

ANOTHER bonus trivia - Benedict Cumberbatch has been chosen as the voice of the dragon Smaug in that series of movies.
