Everybody's talking this weekend in Corvallis. It's the annual Montana State Class A Speech, Debate and Drama Tournament at Corvallis High School. The Corvallis teams each year have always been in the thick of the competition, so it makes sense that they would host a State meet. The tournament will be held at the Corvallis High School and the Corvallis Middle School buildings.

However, they always can use more adult volunteer judges. The huge number of kids in the wide variety of competition requires an equally huge number of judges. Even if you can only come for a portion of the weekend, please volunteer. Doug McConnaha held a judges training earlier this week and advises those who are returning judges to come early and look over the rules and the new ballots for some events.

The Friday sessions are:
Debate - 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m,. and 8 p.m.
Speech and Drama - 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Saturday sessions:
All Events - 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Each session lasts about 90 minutes.
