The Daly Mansion northeast of Hamilton is now open daily for tours. The season started with a Mothers Day Tea Saturday May 7.
The tours start hourly at 10am each day. But that's just the beginning of the season at the historic Mansion, once the summer home of Marcus and Margaret Daly and their family and friends.
Executive Director April Johnson invites everyone to a tent and bake sale Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21. The event runs from 9am to 3pm (no early birds, please!) and includes baked goods and a large variety of gently used items - all beneath the massive 40 by 100 tent on the grounds. Admission will be $1.
The funds will go to the non-profit Daly Mansion Preservation Trust, which operates, restores and preserves the mansion and the Margaret Daly Memorial Arboretum and Botanic Gardens.
The Arbor Day events recently brought hundreds of valley kids to the 26-acre site.
Every season at the Daly Mansion is special and summer will provide plenty of opportunities for you to visit.
