Stevensville will celebrate our Western Heritage June 21 and 22 with a number of family events in town.

Friday, the Chuck Wagons will be gathering for the cook-off competition and will set-up by 4 p.m. The location is 5th and Main.

Saturday, the parade starts at 11 a.m. with cowboys, cowgirls, Native Americans and floats that honor our western history. During the day, vendors will be set up on 3rd Street, along with specials at the stores. The Salish will be giving a cultural presentation, including drumming, near St Mary's Mission.

The Chuckwagons will serve up food about 12:30 p.m. The Barnyard Games (with such competition as "Leaky Bucket" and "Stick Horse Barrel Racing") will begin at 1 p.m.

There will be a beer garden both Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening, along with an evening dance with the music of Soul City Cowboys and Sho Down.
