Stevensville’s Creamery Picnic “Hops To It” This Weekend
Families love Stevensville’s Creamery Picnic August 1 and 2. The days are jam-packed with activities for all ages.
Lewis and Clark Park is where the kids contests will be happening, along with lots of music including the Mike Bater Band, Mark Duboise and Crossroads, Shane Clouse Band, Western Union, Fixin’ 2, and Smart Alexs.
The kids parade is Friday night at 6:30 p.m., starting at Veteran’s Park, while the Grand Parade is Saturday morning at 11 a.m., one of the largest parades of the summer in the Bitterroot Valley.
The 13th Annual Montana State BBQ Championship will happen Friday and Saturday, with the winner crowned Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. The Creamery Picnic Brewfest is open Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 11 p.m.
The valley firemen (and other departments from across the state) will compete in Fire Department Challenge and Keg Shoot at 2nd and Main Saturday, starting at 2 p.m.
Food – a pancake breakfast at the Masonic Hall at 7 a.m. Saturday, hamburgers and homemade pies at the Senior Center from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, and Ice Cream Garden with Wilcoxson’s Ice Cream opens at 12 noon Saturday, and a variety of food booths all over town.
