The spring prescribed burning program will begin this month on the Bitterroot National Forest. Public Affairs Officer Tod McKay said that the first project will be up Tin Cup at the trailhead and will include a test fire to see if the burning conditions will be good enough to continue the program at this time

Vandals Caught

Five juveniles from the Bitterroot Valley have confessed to vandalizing the campground at Lake Como south of Hamilton.
Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor Julie King said in a news release that a tip called in to 1-800-TIP-MONT helped Forest Service law officers make the identification of those responsible for damaging, and in one case, destroying, picnic tables at Como March 25th
